Episode 5

Like the saying goes "Absence sure makes the heart grows fonder". "Please tell me it isn't true James resigned?", she asked again, "Yes, so, you didn't know", the other said, "Yes, but I saw him last week", she said, "And he is not here this week because he resigned already", another said in a mockery tone, and Bailey walked away from them in shame. Immediately she went to her table, one of the teachers whispered,"He didn't even tell her he was leaving, and she is busy stressing herself over him".

Throughout that day, Bailey felt sad, she was praying for work hour to be over, so she can go check on him at his apartment.  

Soon, working hour was over, Bailey quickly left, and went to James's place.  When she got to James's place, the door was locked, She tried calling him, but there was no answer. Bailey stood at his door waiting for him to return, but he did not return home, "I think I should go home, change, and come back later by then he would have been back", she thought to herself, and left. 

When Bailey got home, she took her bath, quickly changed, and went to James's place. When she arrived, she went to his door, but it was still close. "Why is he not yet back?", she said as she sat down to wait for James. 

She was sitting and waiting when a lady with a child walked towards James's door, and started to open it. Bailey became confused, "Excuse me, Why are you trying to open someone's door?", Bailey asked, "Someone's door, this is my room" the lady said, "Am so sorry, but do you know where he stays now?", Bailey asked, "No, I just moved in here yesterday" the lady replied, "You moved in here yesterday?", Bailey asked again, "Yes", the lady replied, "Thank you", Bailey said, and left in disappointment. 

When Bailey got home, she cried her eyes out, not knowing what to do anymore, she tried calling his number, it rang, but they was no response, "please pick up," she said as she tried it for the second time, but still no response. "Oh God what have I done to myself, I didn't even get the chance to talk to him, why am I feeling this way, I know I really hurt him", Bailey said as she cried, "God please bring James back to me, am truly sorry, I want him back", she said. 

While James on the other hand, has travelled to another state to continue his life, he has now fully focus on his personal business which he had been doing while teaching at the foundation.

The next day, Bailey woke up with a swollen face, her eye bags were swallowed, and dark that one would tell she had been crying all night. When her mom saw her, she became angry, "Bailey don't tell me you were up all night crying for that teacher", her mom said, "No mom, I wasn't crying all night", Bailey replied, "Then why is your face, and eye bags swollen, don't tell me you woke up every 10mins to cry for him", her mom said, Bailey didn't utter a word, she walked passed her mom, and went out. Bailey's younger felt bad for her big sister, her conscience kept pricking her as she watched her big sister. 

When Bailey got to the foundation, everyone could tell something was wrong with her. Other teachers gossiped about her, but she didn't mind, all her thought was on James. At this point, she misses him the more, but there was nothing she could do, "I just have to forget about him, and move on, I know he has already moved on", she thought to herself. 

One week later, things wasn't still getting any better with Bailey, she was still affected with her breakup with James even though she was the one that asked for it. Some teachers at the foundation wasn't making it easy for her, that she became the topic of gossip. Bailey was getting frustrated that the thought of quitting her job at the foundation came to her mind, "Since I met James here, I have to leave, so I can get over him quickly, coming here reminds me of the time we spent together", she thought to herself. 

That evening, when Bailey got home, she refused telling her mom her intentions, she went inside, her room, wrote down her resignation letter, "it's for the best", she said to herself. 

The next day, the went to the foundation, and submitted her resignation letter to the management.

One month later, her resignation letter was approved, and she left the foundation. 

That evening, when she got home, she told her mom she quitted her job at the foundation, her mom became happy, "Am glad you have finally leave that foundation, now, you can come and join me at your dad's company, so, you can meet people of your class not someone like that teacher", her mom said, "Mom no, I will work somewhere else, or better still start up a business", she said, and left home, "Come back here", her mom said, but she ignored her, and left. 

Bailey didn't know where to go, so, she went to the spot close to the foundation where she usually meet up with James. When she arrived at the coffee shop, she sat down, and was served her usual coffee. Bailey was patiently sipping her coffee, and thinking about what to do next with her life when a dark tall young man walked up to her, "Excuse me pretty, Am lan, and you", he said as he gave her his hand to shake, she stared at his hand for a few seconds, then she shoke his hand, "Am Bailey", she replied, and let out a smile...............
