A True Love 

Episode 5

When someone who claims to love you, cheats on you, it's hurts the most, especially if you caught him/her at the act, it's devastating, and heartbreaking. Donald was surprised, he wasn't expecting Tamara. " Baby, you didn't call me", he said as he stood up from the bed, "You? Donald, I can't take this anymore," she said as she cried out, “No baby," Donald said, "You are not ashamed of yourself, I trusted you, why April?" She said, pointing at April, "I can't do this any more" she said, and she left with tears in her eyes, " Tamara! Wait, baby!", He called out, but Tamara ignored him. 

That night, Donald was confused on what to do. "Tamara, am really sorry, I feel for you, " he muttered to himself, "I love April" he said to himself. While Tamara on the other hand was crying her eyes out. "Donald why? Why are you treating me this way, I really love you" she muttered to herself with tears on her eyes. 

The next day, Tamara went to work as usual. "Good morning Tamara" Rita greeted, " Morning Rita", Tamara said, "I have good news for you, You will be meeting up with another huge client," Rita said with excitement, " Yes, I know already, Silver lining company", Tamara said, "Yes, and I guess you will go this time, so when are you meeting up with them?" Rita asked, "I won't be going", she said, "No, don't even try it, you must go" Rita said, "Please Rita, am not in the mood, and I won't be going", she said as tears dropped off her eyes, "Tamara, what's wrong, Are you crying?" Rita asked feeling concern, "Am fine, let's just get back to work", Tamara said, "Something is wrong, and I think it has to do with April" Rita thought to herself. "Okay", Rita said. 

Few hours later, news flew around again, that April will still be meeting with the new client. Rita became confused when she heard the whole thing. "What is happening in this office", Rita said to herself. "Tamara, I guess you already heard?" Rita said to Tamara, during lunchtime, "Please Rita, I don't want to talk about it, but if you insist I might as well leave this place" Tamara said with all seriousness, "Okay" Rita said, "Something is wrong, and soon, I will find out" Rita thought to herself as she stared at Tamara who was eating. Tamara ignored Donald throughout the whole day. 

Three days later, Tamara was still ignoring Donald, he wasn't bothered about her, because he knew he was still going to end everything with her. Their colleagues began to notice some changes, especially Rita. "This two love birds no longer walk together as always", One of their colleague gossiped. "Something is wrong with Tamara, and Donald" Rita said to herself. One afternoon, it was lunchtime, and Rita was patiently waiting to see if Tamara will go call Donald like she used to do. Few minutes later, Tamara walked up to Rita, "Rita let's go have lunch", she said, "Where is Donald? I noticed this past few days, you and Donald had not had lunch together" Rita said with all curiosity, " Nothing, we both are fine", Tamara said, " Are you starting to have cold feet?" Rita asked, "Not really" Tamara said, "Okay, because you both are not close like you use to, and other colleagues are saying it too", Rita said, "We are fine", Tamara said pretending to be fine.

One week later, April was able to secure a two-month contract with the company. " If the CEO likes it, then we can further extend contract" The manager said to April, and she was very happy. Everyone in the office was very happy especially Donald, and April. "Baby, we are closer to be a boss soon" April said in excitement, "Yes, love" Donald said, "You need to call off the engagement with Tamara", April suddenly said, "MMM, really?" he asked, "Yes" April said, "Okay" he said, "Now that I have the trust of our clients, I trust soon we will be out of here," she said, and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. 

That Evening Donald went to meet Tamara in her house. Since the last incident, it was the first time Donald went to see Tamara at her house. "Why are you here? I thought you weren't going to come let's patch things up" Tamara said feeling excited inside, "I didn't come here for us to patch things up" he said, "Then why are you here?" Tamara asked feeling scared, "It's over between us, there will be no more wedding,” he said, Tamara was shocked when the heard the shocking news. “What! Why?”, she asked as she cried, “Am sorry for the pain, I've caused you, but I can't lie to you or pretend any more", he said, "No! Is it April? We both have come a long way, don't embarrass me" Tamara pleaded as tears fell off her eyes, "You can keep the ring, and sell it as a compensation" he said, " Please, am sorry for ignoring you” she said as she cried, "Am sorry” Donald said, and left. That night, Tamara couldn't catch any sleep. “What have I done", Tamara said staring at the engagement ring on her finger, "Why now, I really loved you, I did everything to make you happy," she cried until she finally fell asleep.

The next day, it was all around the office that Donald, and Tamara are no longer together. Most of their colleagues couldn't believe it especially Rita, and Ben. They were all shocked that Donald would leave Tamara for April. “Tell me is not true" Rita said, Tamara cried, "Yes, it's over" she said, “But why?" Rita asked, "I don't know, I caught Donald, and April having an affair, I didn't get angry, I was supposed to be the one getting angry, now he is angry, and had to forget everything we shared” Tamara said, "What! Donald, and April, I knew it" Rita said, "Am sorry, but am glad he called off everything,” Rita said, "I love him so much, and have always prayed for our relationship to lead us to marriage" She said, "It's okay, I know, but am still happy that he did, but I never knew you caught him sleeping with April, and yet, you forgave him" Rita said as she console Tamara. 

While Ben on the other hand was very angry when he heard the whole thing, and he went to confront Donald in his office. "Guy, why on earth would you do such to Tamara”, Ben asked, "I love April now, I know she is the right one for me" Donald said, "Seer, how did you know, you know how much Tamara loves you” he said, “Yes I know, and I pray she find a true love” Donald said, "Hmm, when you start regretting your actions, don't come to me" Ben warned, "I won't regret anything” Donald said with confidence, “Okay oh, but I didn't like what you did to Tamara, that lady is such a nice person full of love” Ben said, " Guy, am fine, and will be fine” Donald said. 

Two days later, Tamara went to Donald's office. "Here is your ring, I don't need it or the money, you can use it on your new wife to be", she said as she dropped the ring on his table, Donald was not feeling any concern. "Thanks for your understanding" he said, and she left. 

Two weeks later, things had already started going well for Donald, and April, April began to flaunt herself around for everyone to notice. Tamara had decided to accept things the way it is, and was planning on quitting the job. One day, Tamara said to Rita, “I want to quit this job by the end of this month, I already sent my resignation letter” She said, " Please don't quit, you don't have to be affected with Donald, and April, I  know it won't be easy, but please don't quit, I want you to show Donald he made the wrong choice" Rita said, “Thank you, am fine, but I have to do this" Tamara said, "If you insist, I won't stop you, but I will surely miss you” Rita said, "Thank you, I will miss you too," Tamara said, and they hugged each other. 

Later that day, Tamara was driving home when her car broke down. “Oh no, not here, not now," She said to herself as she got down from the car. "What kind of bad luck is this, don't worry I will soon get a better car,” She said, and hissed. She was still talking to herself when a very nice, and expensive looking car parked in front of her. "God help me" she muttered to herself. when suddenly she heard a calm voice, "What happened young lady" the gentleman said, and Tamara turned to see who the person was. When she turned, the young fellow let out a harmless smile at her, “What is wrong with the car”, he said, She let out a smile, “I don't know sir,” She said, "Oh! Sorry, am Bryan" he said as he gave her his hand to shake, "Am Tamara", She said as she shook his hand..............
